RESPECT is the counter-curse for Avada Kedavra, at least here in PHP. It's the greatest magic, the greatest force, the greatest value. You are to respect everyone in this group - their views and opinion, their posts. In order for this group to succeed and continue its magical existence, we have to set aside our differences and learn to understand & most importantly RESPECT each other. If you find that you are unable to do those things, or if under our observation you’ve proven yourself unworthy of a magical personality, then we’re sorry but you leave us no choice but to lay down sanctions – from light detentions to a possible expulsion from Hogwarts Philippines.
Our personal issues, our differences, our selfish motives, have no place here in the castle. Here, we are no longer muggles. Whatever muggle issues you guys might have, please… do not bring them into PHP. We’re all here to enjoy the discussions, the games, the contests, and everything concerning HP/PHP… but we’re not here to tolerate disrespect, bratty attitude, unpleasant behavior, and whatever obstinate gene any of you might have at breaking the castle rules. We can listen to your muggle rants and raves, your problems and your worries – but even doing so has its limits, we have the proper forums and threads for those. Please do not just post certain effects of your bad mood or irritation against the universe in random threads.
Our Prefects and Heads of House, the Head Boy and Head Girl are all here to help everyone out - especially the newbies. But please, bear in mind that they also have muggle lives. They do not spend every waking minute here in the castle to answer to your needs every single second. And so, before asking them questions which have already been answered by the administration (such as sorting, usergroup colors, number of posts, etc), please make sure that the answers cannot be found anywhere in the castle. Please take time to do your own research --- read important owls (news items both here at the forum and at the website.).
NO double posts, off-topic replies, duplicate threads, and starting threads at the wrong forum and/or category please. Before you reply, please make sure that you're replying to the correct thread. And before you start a thread, please make sure that the thread isn't existing already.. and that the thread you just started is under the proper forum. Otherwise, detention!
Please avoid using over large fonts when you're making an ordinary reply, when you have no reason to emphasize anything.
We allow pictures for signatures, but please, not the pictures whose sizes are actually bigger than the forum banner.
Please avoid using the text language. While text abbreviations are allowed, please do not abbreviate your entire post as though you're sending a text message rather than posting something on a message board.
If any of you have problems – with other PHP members, you may speak with that witch or wizard personally, or have the faculty intervene (ala school discipline board) to help you out. But please, please do not brandish dark arts for the whole castle to see and be upset about.
While this may be a wizarding school, we still have our own muggle influences. You know how they require you to read the Student Handbook when you first enroll in any muggle school? Well, we do that here in Hogwarts Philippines too. We’ve always reminded everyone – and I’ll remind you guys again… please read the Castle rules before exploring every corner of this school.
Just a reminder, detention may range from a few house points deduction, user account suspension, withholding of privileges, forum ban, and expulsion from Hogwarts Philippines.
